About Teach for America
Illuminate every learner with Teach For America (TFA), a two-year training and certification program aimed at fostering the growth of passionate leaders in our education system. For over 30 years, Teach For America has recruited outstanding leaders to become TFA corps members who commit to teaching for two years in a low-income community.
As part of TFA, you’ll cultivate close-knit relationships and meaningful connections, partnering with parents, fellow educators, and local communities to uplift students within the classroom. Beyond the classroom, you’ll join a network of pioneering leaders striving to reshape and re-envision the trajectory of our education system.
Today, Teach For America is a force of nearly 66,000 alumni and corps members committed to realizing the day when every child has an opportunity to learn, grow, influence, and lead.
Essential Qualifications
- 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
- Bachelor’s (in any field of study)
- Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States or EAD holder
- Applicants do not need a background in education or teaching certification – all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to apply

- With TFA Twin Cities, you’ll gain your Tier 3 teaching license and will be able to teach within the state of Minnesota.
